Joyce

Joyce is a multidisciplinary artist whose work lives somewhere between illustration, costume, collage, and visual storytelling. Her creative world is shaped by curiosity, cultural references, and a deep respect for process, trusting ideas to unfold rather than forcing them into rigid structures.

At aeonbranding, Joyce brings illustration that feels expressive, intentional, and full of character, always rooted in concept and meaning, never just decoration.

Joyce starts with concept.

She approaches illustration as a form of visual discourse, asking who the work is for, what it needs to communicate, and why it exists in the first place. From there, she researches, gathers references, and listens carefully, especially when working with clients.

For Joyce, collaboration means absorbing lived experiences, stories, and intentions, then translating them visually through her own artistic identity. Not everything can be represented at once, and part of the process is choosing clarity over excess, so the final piece feels coherent, meaningful, and emotionally legible.

ON PROCESS, PLAY & TRUST

Collage is where Joyce allows herself to begin without answers.

She often starts with no fixed idea, creating freely and letting the work guide her. It’s a process rooted in intuition, experimentation, and trust. As she puts it, “trust the proccess”. The reward comes at the end, when meaning emerges naturally and the satisfaction is unmatched.

Costume work follows a similar philosophy, imagining a character, making it tangible, and then watching it come alive on stage or on screen. Seeing her creations worn, lit, and embodied is where the work fully completes itself.

working together

Joyce values real collaboration.

For her, working with branding, marketing or design teams means listening, adapting, and understanding that not every idea needs to be used. The strongest outcomes come from genuine exchange, mutual respect, and shared creative responsibility.

Illustration works best inside a brand when it aligns with the visual language and intention of that brand. Joyce believes artists can be multifaceted, moving between styles while still maintaining originality, identity, and coherence with what the brand wants to express.

WHY ILLUSTRATION MATTERS

Illustration is visual communication.

When it’s aligned with concept and discourse, it becomes a powerful support for storytelling. Joyce’s goal is simple but profound: that people immediately understand what the illustration is trying to express.

If her work communicates meaning, emotion, and intention clearly, whether for herself or for a client, then the illustration has done its job.
